On March 20, 2019, in the town of Artashat, Ararat Province, a meeting was held with business entities of Ararat Province, organized within the framework of the “RA Alternative Taxation Systems Monitoring and Improvement Program”

During the meeting, Vahagn Hambardzumyan, President of the “Association of Accountants of Armenia” NGO and project director, presented the peculiarities of the current turnover tax system to the economic entities. After the presentation, they jointly discussed the problems that have arisen during the operation of the turnover tax system. Entrepreneurs submitted their proposals by filling out pre-prepared forms, which will be analyzed by project experts. As a result, a comprehensive set of proposals for solving the existing issues will be developed and submitted to the relevant government agencies. At the beginning of the project, Mayor of Artashat Karen Beniaminyan gave a welcoming speech. He highlighted the importance of such programs and expressed his readiness to always support the implementation of such events. The mayor thanked Vahagn Hambardzumyan and all the organizers of the program for holding such an event in Artashat.
This meeting was organized within the framework of the “RA Alternative Taxation Systems Monitoring and Improvement Program.” The project is being implemented by the “Association of Accountants of Armenia” NGO within the framework of sub-grants provided by the “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” program, which is being carried out through a consortium led by the “Armenian Lawyers' Association” NGO. The “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” program is funded by the European Union.
