About the Association of Accountants of Armenia
History and mission
The Association of Accountants of Armenia was founded on November 10, 2014, at the initiative of representatives from several dozen accounting firms operating in Armenia. It is a public organization that, adopting the slogan "Education, Qualification, Supervision," aims to enhance the professional and social responsibility of accountants and contribute to the development of the accounting and tax system in the Republic of Armenia. This, in turn, will improve the business environment and foster the growth of the country's economy and civil society.
The Association, as an integral part of its mission, emphasizes the promotion of adherence to professional ethics standards and the demonstration of lawful conduct by accountants. One of the main tasks of the Association is to identify the prevailing issues in the sector through accountants and present them to the relevant authorities, working towards their resolution. To achieve its mission, the Association actively collaborates with numerous accountants and accounting firms, organizing and conducting training and retraining courses (TRC), providing legislative updates and consultations, organizing diverse team-building events, and offering and servicing automation programs for accounting and tax reporting, human resources management (HR), and customer service (CRM) systems.
The Association of Accountants of Armenia is currently actively collaborating with 45 accounting firms in Armenia, which serve over 14,000 taxpayers. Being part of various state bodies and public councils, the Association collects and analyzes the issues faced by its member accountants in their legal practice and makes proposals to state bodies involved in formulating relevant policies and administration, thereby improving the legislative framework of the business environment through consistent efforts.
