THE FIFTH CONFERENCE OF THE ASSOCIATION

On November 10, 2018, the fifth conference of the “Association of Accountants of Armenia” NGO was held.
The conference was attended by 386 members of the Association. The opening speech was delivered by the President of the Association Vahagn Hambardzumyan, who in his welcoming speech thanked the accountants, who worked hard for many years, emphasizing the importance of their work.
Congratulating on the International Day of Accountants Vahagn Hambardzumyan urged all accountants to look into the future only with the eyes of a hardworking person, to carry at the same time the title of a defender of the taxpayer's interests and the title of a promoter of the way of thinking for the welfare of the state.
During the conference, a report on the Association's activities for 4 years and the use of property was presented.
Gagik Makaryan, President of the Republican Union of Employers of Armenia, delivered a welcoming speech. He introduced the role and importance of the Association in the lives of employers. Karen Gevorgyan, Deputy Executive Director of the National Center of Development SME RA, presented the role and importance of the Association in the activities of SMEs. Hovhannes Petrosyan, President of the Association of Accountants and Auditors, and the directors of the accounting offices of Yeghegnadzor, Sisian, and Armavir also contributed to the conference.
In the second part of the conference, a vote was taken to approve, by an absolute majority, a four-year report on the activities and use of the Association's property. Vahagn Hambardzumyan was re-elected president of the  Association of Accountants of Armenia by absolute affirmative votes. A new composition of the Association Council and an auditor were also elected.
