Amendments to the procedure for controlling the stages of the food chain

Dear Colleagues, Amendments to the RA Law “On Veterinary Medicine” and the RA Law “On State Control over Food Safety” expanded the powers of authorized bodies and officials exercising control at the stages of the food chain. In particular, it is established that officials exercising state control and customs authorities exercising border state control at checkpoints across the state border, customs authorities exercising state border control shall have the right to suspend the sale of the entire lot with a decision on confiscation and destruction, in case of detection of raw materials and products of animal origin, obtained as a result of non-slaughter fur during state control.
