New tax regulations for passenger cars

Dear Colleagues, Amendments and supplements have been made to the RA Tax Code, according to which, starting from December 1, 2023, a negative VAT difference arising between the amount of VAT calculated based on the tax base for the supply of a vehicle under VAT code FEACN 8703 in the Republic of Armenia and the amount of VAT to be offset (reduced) on that vehicle per the procedure determined by the Code shall be subject to VAT not being offset (reduced). In addition, from June 1, 2024, the environmental tax for vehicles classified under codes 8702, 8703, 8704, and 8705 will be calculated at new, higher rates.
