On May 15, 2024, the Third Extraordinary Congress of the Republican Union of Employers of Armenia (hereinafter referred to as "the Union") took place.

On May 15, 2024, the Third Extraordinary Congress of the Republican Union of Employers of Armenia (hereinafter referred to as "the Union") took place. Among the participants were Vahagn Hambardzumyan, President of the Association of Accountants of Armenia, and representatives of member organizations of the Association.
Key Agenda Items:

• Changes in the Union’s President, Council, and Audit Commission;
• Amendments to the Union's Charter;
• Presentation of newly admitted organizations;
• Presentation of the vision of the candidate for the newly elected President regarding the future development of the Union․

Of the 152 delegates, 136 were present, and they unanimously voted in favor of the proposed agenda items through an open vote.
The Union’s President, Gagik Makaryan, presented the 41 core functions of the Union and its key achievements over the past 16 years. He expressed his gratitude to partners for their fruitful and effective long-term collaboration and announced the end of his presidency. During the Congress, Vahagn Hambardzumyan was nominated as a candidate for the Union’s new President. He presented his vision for the Union’s future development, including strategic steps, upcoming initiatives, the importance of integrating an educational component, and experience-sharing programs among Union members. He also emphasized the necessity of forming an expert commission within the Union. Additionally, 100 newly admitted organizations were introduced. The Congress delegates conducted an open vote, unanimously electing Vahagn Hambardzumyan as the new President of the Republican Union of Employers of Armenia. The new Council and Audit Commission were also elected unanimously.
