On April 3, another meeting within the awareness campaign titled “New Support Programs and Turnover Tax Changes: What You Need to Know” was held at the "Ararat Resort" hotel in Tsaghkadzor.
The event was initiated by the Investment Council of Armenia and supported by the Association of Accountants of Armenia. The purpose of the meeting was to present the support programs, legislative reforms, and the procedures for accessing them-developed within the framework of the SME state-private dialogue platform led by Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan-to representatives of SMEs in Kotayk region.
Another objective was to introduce the changes in the turnover tax. The meeting was attended by around fifty business representatives, financiers, and accountants from the region.
The following topics were discussed during the meeting:
Income tax refund support program for manufacturing companies,

  • 0-4% subsidized loans for purchasing equipment,
  • Differentiated model of penalties resulting from violations of fiscal receipt (cash register) rules,
  • Raising the threshold for bad debt write-offs,
  • A new opportunity for businesses participating in public procurement—to receive payment through factoring from a bank immediately after winning a tender.

In the second part of the meeting, Gohar Parsadanyan, a member of the Association’s Council, presented the changes in the turnover tax, answered participants’ questions, and current legislative issues were mapped and discussed in a roundtable format.
The Association of Accountants of Armenia will continue to actively participate in regional awareness meetings in order to support business representatives and provide clarifications on the issues that concern them.
