On July 14, 2025, the regular session of the SME Development Sub-Council, chaired by the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, took place.

On July 14, the regular session of the SME Development Sub-Council, chaired by the RA Minister of Economy and President of the Sub-Council, Gevorg Papoyan, took place.

Gohar Parsadanyan, a Member of the Council of the Association of Accountants of Armenia, participated in the session.

The agenda included discussions on legislative initiatives regarding amendments to the Laws of the Republic of Armenia “On Investment Funds” and “On Limited Liability Companies,” as well as the revision of the mandatory annual declaration requirement for ultimate beneficial owners by legal entities.

The primary goals of these initiatives are to improve the legal framework, promote investment attraction, align legislation with international best practices, and revise administrative requirements—especially from the perspective of SMEs.

The participation of the Association of Accountants of Armenia in such sessions is of great importance to ensure the involvement of the accounting professional community in legislative processes, to present practical issues in the field, and to support system improvements that contribute to the operational efficiency of SMEs.
