17.02.2026

On February 17, the first session of the Public Council under the President of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) of the Republic of Armenia took place. The formation of this council was important from the perspective of ensuring active civil society engagement in the context of public-private sector cooperation.
In his address, SRC President Eduard Hakobyan noted that they are ready for an open and constructive dialogue with civil society representatives, jointly discussing issues of public concern.
At the first session, discussions were held on the measures to be implemented by the State Revenue Committee in 2026, as outlined in the Government's five-year action plan, as well as the strategic programs for Tax Administration Reform and the development of the Customs Service in the coming years. Attention was also given to the revision of the rules of procedure of the SRC's tax and customs appeals commission, within the framework of which it was proposed to discuss the matter of ensuring the participation of a civil society representative in the commission's work on a voluntary basis.
Also participating in the session was Gohar Parsadanyan, a member of the Board of the Association of Accountants of Armenia.
