Details of the implementation of the new insurance system were discussed with the Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia

On December 4, in the conference hall of the V.A. Fanarjyan National Center of Oncology of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia, under the chairmanship of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia, a discussion was held regarding the draft law "On Universal Health Insurance" of the Republic of Armenia.
The meeting was organized at the initiative of Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia Anahit Avanesyan, ahead of the implementation of the universal health insurance system, with the aim of presenting and discussing the draft in detail with employers, the professional community, and interested parties.
The discussion was also attended by Hermine Tovmasyan, President of the Association of Accountants of Armenia, Council members Gohar Pasadanyan and Hasmik Igitkhanyan, directors of member accounting firms of the Association, and other members of the Association, who addressed a number of important issues related to the mechanisms for calculating insurance premiums, the principles of their formation, possibilities for subsidizing different social groups, and the potential impact of the new system on the business environment.
During the meeting, which lasted about three hours, representatives of state and private companies present at the discussion attempted to clarify numerous financial and legal issues related to universal health insurance through questions and answers.
Also present at the discussion were Samvel Kharazyan, Director of the State Health Agency of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia, Ori Alaverdyan, Head of the Revenue Policy and Administration Methodology Department of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Armenia, and Mariam Manukyan, Head of the Tax and Mandatory Payments Methodology Division No. 2 of the Administration Methodology, Procedures and Service Department of the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia.
