The 2nd meeting of the Public Council under the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia

On June 15, the 2nd Meeting of the Public Council under the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia was held, with Kristine Ghasumyan representing the Association of  Accountants of Armenia.
Minister of Justice Srbuhi Galyan presented the objectives of the draft seven-year strategy for the justice sector and emphasized the importance of discussing proposals submitted by the Council members.
The new strategy includes five main objectives, encompassing reforms in the following areas:

• judicial and legal reforms;
• human rights;
• anti-corruption;
• penitentiary and probation;
• law enforcement system reforms.

The presentation was followed by a question-and-answer session, during which Council members had the opportunity to raise their questions and present their comments.
